Chelsea bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool last time out in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Jorginho handed his side the lead from the penalty spot after Mason Mount was brought down in the box by Adam Webster. The Blues did have a scare when Webster hit the bar with a close-range header.

However, Willian secured the three points with 14 minutes remaining with a deflected strike. Frank Lampard’s men earned their first clean sheet of the campaign in the process of their triumph this afternoon, moving them up into sixth place in the table.

Brighton are without a win since the opening day of the campaign and are trending in the wrong direction.
