A renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Darul Hadith Institute for Islamic Studies in the Ashanti Region, Sheikh Anas Tawfiq Ibrahim Al-Bakri, has cautioned the government, leaders and chiefs of the muslim community to desist from threats to cancel or suspend a community evangelism he does every friday widely known as Weekly Community Daawa.
In his Friday Sermon [Jummah Hutubah] he made it clear that that talks of his weekly evangelism being cancelled by some chiefs of the zongo community was just a rumour and a blatant lie.
No one can stop us from continuing our Weekly Community Daawa…… Before our Weekly Community Daawa is cancelled, all engagements and happenings in the muslim community like Maulid [Celebration of the birth of the Prophet S.A.W], Funerals, Parties, Durbars etc should all be cancelled before our Weekly Community Daawa is also cancelled. It is only ALLAH SWT can stop us from doing this community evangelism; Shaykh Anas said………
He also cautioned and advised the government to rather dispatch security personnel to safeguard and ensure safety at the premises of an evangelism/daawa location and desist from trying to stop the evangelism whenever it here’s of rumors of an uprising towards his evangelism.
