“My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], and You are the Best of inheritors.”

رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ

Rabbi laa tatharnee fardan wa anta khayrul waaritheen

Surah Al-Anbiya,verse 89

This is the supplication of Prophet Zakariyya Alaihisslaam.

This dua can be recited :-

To have a baby
To have a safe pregnancy and delivery

Those who are having difficulty conceiving a child should recite this dua.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:-

”(89. And (remember) Zakariyya, when he cried to his Lord: “O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors.”) (90. So We answered his call, and We bestowed upon him Yahya, and cured his wife for him. Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and they were Khashi`in before Us.)

Allah tells us of His Prophet Zakariyya Alaihisslaam, who asked Allah to grant him a son who would be a Prophet after him.
