Allah sent His Prophets and Messengers from time to time to guide mankind and to make them aware of the creation plan of the Supreme Lord. But humans in arrogance always disbelieved in the Prophets and Messengers, asking them evidences and to perform miracles to verify their truth. After the Prophets performed miracles for them, they denied it by calling some sort of magic.
In the Quran, Allah has clearly described that almost all the Prophets performed miracles for their nations but were denied by most of the people.
Allah being aware of all the situations on earth supported Prophets with miracles. Allah granted them power and they performed miracles upon the constant demands of arrogant disbelievers to justify their claims of being a Prophet and show the signs of Allah with the hope that they will come to the right path and will believe in Allah.
From Adam to Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Them), almost all of the Prophets were given ability to perform miracles by Allah. Moses (PBUH) threw stick and the sea opened a road for him and his people. Jesus (PBUH) spoke in cradle and brought dead into lives by the will of Allah.
When Allah sent the last messenger and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the mankind, Allah was aware that he will be questioned by his people in the same way as other prophets before him.
Allah granted miraculous power to Muhammad (PBUH). These miracles are clearly mentioned in some of the verses of Quran and narrated in various authentic Hadith.
Today, we bring you 7 such miracles which our beloved prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed. It should be noted that whatever miracles he performed was done solely by Allah The Mightiest of All.

1. Splitting Of the Moon
This miracle is mentioned in the Holy Quran in the chapter 54 and verse 1-2.
The Hour of Resurrection drew near and the moon split asunder.
(Regardless of any Signs these people see), they turn away and say: “This is an ongoing sorcery.
It is also narrated in numerous Hadiths and it’s impossible to deny the historical existence of the incident.
A group of disbeliever asked Prophet (PBUH) to show them some miracle. They said, “If you are truly a Prophet that has been appointed by Allah, then split the moon in half. Let it be in such a way that one half will appear over the Mount Abu Qubais and the other half will be seen over Mount Quayqian.”
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked:
“If I do it, will you become Muslims?”
The polytheists answered:
“Yes, we will.
When Prophet (PBUH) supplicated to Allah to grant him power, Gabriel informed him that Allah has accepted the prayers.
Prophet called every Meccans to witness it and they saw the miracle of splitting of the moon when prophet indexed his finger towards the moon be it Muslim or Kaafir.
But as Allah has sealed their heart, they denied it and called it a magic upon which Allah revealed aforementioned verses of the Qur’an.
This incident needs no further verification as Allah Himself mentioned it in Qura’n.

Prior to migration from Mecca to Medina, Allah took Him on the blessed night journey from Mecca to Jerusalem which was a thousand km journey for a Caravan in one night and returned him on the same night.
At Jerusalem, He led all Prophets in prayer at Masjid Al Aqsa and then ascended to seventh heaven and reached on a station at which none has reached before. Prophet (PBUH) witnessed the great signs Ayat Al Kubra.
When people came back and narrated the incident to Meccans, Non believers laughed and Muslim became dubious at it. However, He tried to erase it by describing Masjid Al Aqsa and the place of Jerusalem. It took Muslims into surprise because Prophet (PBUH) never went to Jerusalem before. Non believers denied this evidence too and blamed Abu Bakar for telling it to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
